It's class BBQ day!

Finally, the day we've all been waiting for. Last day of school and class BBQ day. First, Thanks to Peter and mom for getting us the place, pit and for providing us with so much drinks and fruit!

First, we had some fun in the pool. As usual, Dion Yi is the chief provider of laughs.

With the fire going, we quickly filled our stomachs.

Then the cake arrived. We were surprised by what lay in the cake box! Wow wow wow! Everyone wanted to take a photo with it. :)

Here's a close up. Of course, we have Shanne and mommy to thank for this cake. It was so beautiful. We couldn't bear to eat it. More pictures...

We finally made up our minds. One last photo, before digging into it. Oh yes, for those of you who missed the party, the cake tasted as nice as it looked. Blueberry, yum yum!

Wait, this isn't the end. We must thank Hui Jing and mommy for the very delicious and authentic glutinous rice mango dessert. Sorry, no photos. The dessert disappeared too fast for any photos. Burppppp...

Class BBQ poster

The year is swiftly coming to an end. Peter and I will be hosting a party at his home. Here are the details. I've put up the poster on our classroom noticeboard. Check it out!

I've placed an order for chicken wings, satay and otah. Not to worry, all the food I've ordered will be on me! Please feel free to bring other food and drinks. However, remember our Muslim friends and prepare only halal food. Ok? :)

Learning Journey to Marina Barrage

Being Singapore's biggest reservoir, how can we not pay it a visit? The gallery walk was an eye opening experience. It is wonderful to learn about what our country is doing to help us attain self sufficiency of our water needs.  At the same time, it was also a time to relax after the exams. :)

After lots of tugging and pulling, we finally got the kite into the air!
A giant jellyfish was floating around when we were there. It is huge!

Reduce Reuse Recycle

How we conserve our environment will determine what kind of world we will live in many years down the road. The 3Rs are very important aspects in environment conservation. We should all do our part.

Class Photos

The class photos we took sometime back are finally ready for order! Take a look here. :)

I'm really happy to be 3E1's teacher. The moments we spend together everyday have brought us closer together. Seeing each and everyone of you learn and improve at your own pace really makes me happy. If I'm not teaching you next year, remember one thing. Always do your best. Everything you do is for yourself and not for anyone else.

Maths Trail Activity

We had an interesting lesson today. We went on a Maths Trail around the school. First, we went to the Canteen, then we visited the Foyer, to collect data that we could use to solve our maths problems.

Magnets

Hello friends, what are you doing this holidays? Having fun so far? You bet I'm having fun! Hey, in the midst of all the fun, do remember to revise your work. Term 4 is a very short term. You will be sitting for SA2 in October, which is only 1 month away. Wow!

Here's an interesting activity on magnets I've come across. Do explore and learn a little about magnets along the way.

Have fun! :)

By the way, it can be found here. If you are very very free, this site has many activities for you!

Our Homes

Recently, in our English lessons, we talked about our homes. Some of us brought pictures of our homes to show each other. Here's a few samples. Can you guess who lives in each home?

Photos posted with permission from their respective owners. (I can't say else you'll know... )

This week, our EL lessons' focus have been on storytelling. Here are some highlights.

Kite flying in school?

We had a very special assembly today. The nice people from Act3 performed a special show for us! There was a nice gentleman on a very tall bicycle and another who could fly kites in the school hall. Way cool!

Another writing lesson

We embarked on another writing lesson this past week. This term, Mr Ho taught us how to plan for each composition using story maps. It is a skill we will definitely remember for life!

Glad to see so many pupils focused and on task. Well done and keep it up!
